To verify a full account number with this bank, head to our IBAN checker.
Find BIC from National Bank Code
National banking directories assign domestic routing numbers to every credit institution:
- Germany: 8-digit Bankleitzahl (BLZ) registered with Deutsche Bundesbank
- France: 5-digit Code Banque registered with ACPR / Banque de France
- Spain: 4-digit Código de Entidad registered with Banco de España
- Italy: 5-digit Codice ABI registered with Banca d'Italia
Entering these domestic codes in our search engine returns the exact international SWIFT code required for cross-border wire transfers. You can also generate your international account number with our IBAN calculator or review specifications for all 97 nations in our directory of IBAN by country.
What is the Difference Between BIC and SWIFT?
There is no functional difference. SWIFT is the organization that operates the international telecommunications network connecting more than 11,000 banking institutions worldwide. BIC (Business Identifier Code) is the standardized 8 or 11 character code format (ISO 9362) assigned to each participant.
